
This is such a scrumptious & classic childhood favourite recipe. I just had to transform this into a healthier version for you to enjoy.
Ingredients
Base
- 1 cup of almonds
- ½ a cup of macadamia nuts
- ½ a cup of walnuts
- 2 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 2 majool dates
- 1 tsp of coconut flour
- 1 tsp of maple syrup
Toffee top layer
- 7 Majool dates
- 2 tsp of natural nut butter
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 tsp of maple syrup
- 2 tsp of water
Instructions
Start by processing the almonds, macadamia, & walnuts first. Proceed to add the other base ingredients into the food processor until it starts to resemble a sticky base.
Place your base ingredients into a dish & press firmly into place. Then chop one banana & place on top of your base.
Then proceed to add the ingredients for the toffee top layer into the food processor for a couple of minutes, or until it resembles a runny toffee consistency. Pour this evenly on top of your base.
Allow your dish to set in the fridge for one hour. Then cut, serve & enjoy.

Natural nut butter is packed full of protein & has less saturated & trans-fats compared to standard peanut butter.
It is heart friendly & loaded with more potassium, healthy fats, & is rich in fiber.
Medjool dates are loaded with nutrients, carbohydrates, proteins & no fat. They are also rich in fiber, potassium & copper.
